Using a trip trip planner is fun, but in order to get the right idea about where you want to travel you need to read lots, and lots about culture, tourist attractions, and the people that reside in that place. When I was planning my trip to Japan I read a good 30-40 travel logs on blogs, and since they are a bit more personal I could get a general first hand experience through words, and really visualize my self there. The site that I linked to in the beginning can you help you find out information via summaries of Japan, and at the same time help you with looknig for travel logs, I just did a quick search and rather than having to use Google blog Search to find, and having to scroll through a hundred of pages to find a good link, I can just look at the fist 2-3 entries and get exactly what I want.
